In its annual rankings, U.S. News and World Report named Regis to several lists recognizing the university for its commitment to academic excellence and providing pathways to a college degree. U.S. News also recognized the value of a Regis education and the strength of the university’s nursing program.
Serving as a guide for prospective students and their families, the rankings evaluate 1,500 colleges and universities using several measures of academic quality.
"Regis College challenges, inspires, and supports students who are driven by passion, purpose, and a pursuit to positively impact the world,” said President Antoinette M. Hays, PhD, RN. "For almost a century, Regis has prioritized increasing students’ access to a college degree, a commitment that endures to this day. Each day in our classrooms, in internships and clinicals and in labs, Regis students are instilled with a strong sense of character and confidence as they are prepared for careers and lives of abundant meaning.”
Regis was ranked among the top universities in the north region of the United States, recognizing its focus on exemplary academics and a commitment to student success. U.S. News indicates that those named to this list offer a “full range” of academic programs at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels.
Regis was founded nearly a century ago to expand access to a college degree to those seeking such. That commitment remains unwavering as the university continues to instill in students’ character, confidence, and prepares them for careers. Nearly 100 percent of Regis undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid. According to U.S. News, “some colleges are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students awarded with Pell Grants.” Recognizing student needs to succeed in college, Regis offers several programs such as tutoring, mentoring, student support coaching, co-curricular courses focusing on leadership, professional development offerings, and more than 130 leadership positions within clubs and organizations committed to the growth of student leaders.
Based on positive survey responses from faculty and staff at colleges and universities offering nursing programs, U.S. News named the Regis undergraduate nursing program to is best Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programs list. According to U.S. News, survey completers “ranked the overall quality of programs” and must have “bachelor’s-level accreditation by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.” Undergraduate and accelerated bachelors nursing students achieved a 100% NCLEX pass rate in 2024.
Following an examination of the academic quality of Regis programs, U.S. News named Regis to its Best Value Schools list. The examination includes a review of the previous year’s net cost of attendance, or as U.S. News shares, “The higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal.”
Ninety-five percent of graduates are employed full-time or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation (five-year average).
The university’s Center for Veteran and Military Family Services works tirelessly to connect Veterans, active-duty personnel and their families to federal programs to help them cover tuition costs. This includes one-on-one support from a dedicated admissions counselor to help Veterans and their families navigate the college admissions process. It also offers a Veterans Lounge where Veteran-students can gather with other students with shared experiences. Regis was recently named a 2023-2024 Military-Friendly Gold School for its advocacy on behalf of Veterans and their families pursuing a college degree.
