Another horrific and tragic school shooting took place Tuesday in Uvalde, Texas. This senseless act of violence against innocent children and teachers is unfathomable and heartbreaking.
And we've seen enough. Our politicians must recognize that we need to implement national gun safety laws and regulations. There have been too many incidences of gun violence in our country and, as citizens we must take a stand.
Regis College stands with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston to vow to use our Gospel charism and mission of unifying love for the healing and transformation of the world and our collective voice and energy to build God’s beloved community where all are one. May the God of inclusive love and compassion bring consolation and healing to those whose lives were shattered by this horrible incident. Our prayers are with Robb Elementary’s educators, students, and families, as well as the entire Uvalde community.
