kristin hokanson headshotRegis College has named instructional technology specialist Kristin Hokanson, SNDdeN, to its board of trustees. A Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, Sister Kristin has worked in education and administration for over 25 years in Catholic schools in Massachusetts and is founder and principal of the Notre Dame Virtual School.

“Sister Kristin’s expertise in virtual education is needed now more than ever as we all navigate the nuances of remote learning and work,” said Regis President Antoinette Hays, PhD, RN. “I am thrilled to welcome her to the board.”

"I am honored to join the board of trustees of Regis College and look forward to working with President Hays, the Regis faculty and staff, and the members of the Board to support the mission and values of the college," said Sister Kristin.

Sister Kristin also serves as program supervisor at Emmanuel College and supervisor in the Educational Leadership Program at Bridgewater State University. She serves on the advisory board of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur at the United Nations and promotes the UN’s sustainable development goals through her virtual school. She formerly served on the governing boards of Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro and Notre Dame Academy in Worcester.

Sister Kristin earned a bachelor’s degree from Salem State University and advanced degrees from Boston University and the University of Massachusetts.
