Dear Regis community,

Happy New Year. I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable holiday.

Given the continued surge of COVID-19 cases across the country, and the high rate of infection of the Omicron variant, Regis College has made important updates to its pandemic response protocol, effective immediately.

Regis College students, faculty, and staff eligible to get a COVID-19 booster must have one by Tuesday, February 1, at 11:59 p.m. EST in order to live, learn, and work on campus this semester. Those who have an approved vaccine exemption from the university are also exempt from the booster.

All Regis community members who have already received a booster must upload documentation to CoVerified by Wednesday, January 5, at 11:59 p.m. EST. You can do this by clicking on the “+” icon on the home screen and selecting “Upload Vaccine Record.”

Who Is Eligible For The Booster?

  • Fully vaccinated
  • Over the age of 16

Booster Timeline

  • At least five months after a second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine
  • At least two months after a Johnson and Johnson vaccine

If you have a question related to your specific booster timeline or eligibility, please email covid19@regiscollege.edu.

Data clearly shows the booster is the best possible defense from hospitalization or serious illness as a result of COVID-19. Additionally, based on the CDC’s new quarantine and isolation recommendations, getting a booster means you will not have to quarantine if you are a close contact to someone who tests positive for COVID-19.

Regis College will host an on-campus booster clinic on Friday, January 28, for all university community members. Registration will open in the coming days.

Thank you for your support of and compliance with the university’s response to the on-going pandemic. Please continue to follow public health recommendations including wearing a mask, frequent hand washing, and limiting time in large group settings.

Sincerely,

Kara Kolomitz
