Regis College is pleased to announce Gerald Healy, MD, FACS, FRCSI, FRCS, Emeritus Surgeon-in-Chief and Emeritus Gerald B. Healy Chair in Otolaryngology at Boston Children's Hospital, and seasoned executive and strategic advisor and former McKinsey partner Ruxandra Tentis, MBA, have been appointed to its board of trustees.
Professor Emeritus of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Healy is a distinguished surgeon with more than 40 years of leadership experience. Dr. Healy is a founding partner of ORDx+Rx: Solutions for Surgical Safety, where he and his team offer expert operating room safety consultation to hospitals. Dr. Healy continues to lecture nationally and internationally on the critical elements of patient safety. A member of numerous honorary societies in medicine, Dr. Healy is a past Chairman of the Board of Regents and President of the American College of Surgeons and has served as President of several other organizations in surgery. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and the Royal College of Surgeons of England and currently serves as a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Health Care Improvement. Dr. Healy earned his medical degree from Boston University and a master's in science from Harvard University.

Hays, PhD, RN. “I’m absolutely delighted that he will be joining the university’s board to advance our institutional priorities as they relate to our exemplary nursing and health sciences programs.”

Its mission is indeed a noble one, in that it strives to educate a diverse student body, with many students coming to Regis from underserved communities,” said Dr. Healy. “This mission fosters the vision of my late wife, Anne, a Regis graduate and the current university president Antoinette Hays. I shall strive to honor their legacy of kindness, caring, and lifelong education.”
Ms. Tentis has more than two decades of experience in financial services, technology, and private equity. She is the co-founder and CEO of two innovative ventures: Solart, a solar technology company, and YELO Software, a firm specializing in AI-driven solutions for mid-sized businesses. Previously, Ms. Tentis served as a Partner at McKinsey and Company where she helped build the private equity practice focusing on financial services across industries. She is a member of the Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston Board, contributing her expertise to support the intersection of arts and business in the community. She earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a bachelors in economics from Louisiana State University. She lives in Weston with her husband, children, and two dogs.
