The Free, Public Forum Will Take Place on October 25

Leading experts will highlight innovative cancer treatments that integrate complementary therapies with traditional Western treatments in an upcoming Regis President’s Lecture Series on Health.

“We’re excited to once again host such an important and innovative discussion on our campus. This presentation will broaden the audience's awareness of current trends in order to enhance the quality of care and minimize side effects for patients,” said President Antoinette Hays, PhD, RN.

Titled “Brain/Breast/Lung Cancer Treatment/Western and Integrative Medicine Treatment Modalities,” the discussion will focus on current research innovations and the role of complementary therapies in enhancing the effectiveness of traditional treatments. The event, on October 25 at 6:30 p.m. is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Regis Fine Arts Center on the university’s Weston campus.

The Regis President’s Lecture Series on Health, established in 2007, is a unique series of free discussion forums addressing contemporary issues in clinical care, health care delivery, health policy, and public health. Held on the Regis campus and cosponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, the series invites members of the public and the university community to participate in an exciting dialogue with health care leaders from government and the health professions. The series is one way the university fulfills its mission to boldly empower the next generation of leaders to change lives and be a force for good in the world.
