Regis College has been designated a Gold Military Friendly School for 2026–2027, honoring its ongoing commitment to serving Veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. The university also retained its Military Spouse Friendly School designation, recognizing the institution’s continued dedication to supporting the military community throughout their higher education journey.

The Military Friendly Schools designation announced each year and is the result of publicly available college and university data from more than 3,000 institutions, analysis from student-Veterans, and results from a survey distributed by Military Friendly Schools. The Military Spouse Friendly Schools recognition celebrates the extensive support services for Veterans and their spouses from application to through graduation.

Central to Regis College's efforts is its Center for Veteran and Military Family Services, led by Nick Lanier, Director of Veteran Services. A Veteran himself, Lanier understands the unique challenges facing service members and their families as they navigate the transition to military to academic life. Under his leadership, the Center provides Veterans with tutoring, academic advising, and opportunities to connect with a community of fellow student-Veterans.

"The Regis College community is committed to helping our Veterans, service member students and their families pursue and reach their academic and professional goals, while providing opportunities for them to contribute their valuable experiences to our community," said Lanier. "Regis is steadfast in its mission to support student-Veterans from the application process all the way to commencement. Veterans and their families can thrive here at Regis, and we’re proud to be part of their preparation, both in and out of the classroom, for a successful career."

“Earning the Military Friendly designation is more than a badge of honor; it is a reflection of an institution’s deep-rooted values and strategic commitment to those who served, said Kayla Lopez, Vice President of Memberships at Military Friendly. These schools don’t just open doors for veterans and military spouses, they build sustainable pathways for academic success and long-term impact. Their support is transformative, proving that investing in military- connected students is both a moral imperative and a standard for educational excellence.”

Regis admission counselors offer personalized, one-on-one guidance to help Veterans apply their benefits toward their education. The university also provides a dedicated Veterans lounge — a welcoming space where student-Veterans can study, share a meal, or connect with peers. Regis participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which supplements Department of Veterans Affairs funding to help cover unmet tuition and fees. The university also works closely with the VA to help students access the GI Bill, Veteran Readiness and Employment, Dependents' Educational Assistance, and other benefits available to active-duty service members, Veterans, and their families.
