Regis College is proud to confer degrees ranging from associate to doctoral levels to more than 1,000 graduates of the Class of 2020.
“The Regis Class of 2020 has experienced a disruption unlike any other faced by students in our 93-year history and they have done it with grace and resilience,” said Regis College President Antoinette Hays, PhD, RN. “I know this is not the way our graduates expected to end their academic journey but we are very proud of their accomplishments.”
Of the 1,000 graduates, more than 500 earned degrees in nursing. “I am so proud of the many nurses who will provide care to those sickened by the virus all over the world,” said Diane Welsh, DNP, RN, dean of the Young School of Nursing. In addition, many public health graduates will continue their work on contact tracing, an effort they began as volunteers while still at Regis.
The Commencement ceremony was postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date once determined safe by public and health officials.
