Regis College is pleased to announce the promotion of Jonathan Small, MPS, to vice president of graduate and professional student affairs and enrollment. This position reports to the president and oversees all aspects of marketing, enrollment, and student services for close to 3,000 students across graduate, doctoral, bachelor completion, and certificate programs.
“Jonathan’s qualifications and extensive experience in higher education, online learning, and distance education make him the ideal candidate,” said President Antoinette Hays, PhD, RN. “I’m excited to have Jonathan lead our efforts to offer innovative campus-based and online educational opportunities for graduate and professional studies students.”
Under Small’s leadership as the associate vice president of online learning, the graduate and doctoral enrollment in online programs grew to an all-time high. He also has played an integral role in the development of the Division of Professional Studies which is anticipated to launch in fall 2022 and directly responds to critical workforce development needs through the creation of certificate and degree completion curricula.
Small received his master’s in professional studies from Northeastern University, and his bachelor’s from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining Regis, Small worked with universities as an independent consultant and at Meteor Learning, an education technology startup, to create and expand online education and training programs. He held leadership positions at several Boston area schools launching initial online degree programs and building teams, processes, and infrastructure to support online students and faculty. In his six years as a consultant with the Online Learning Consortium he partnered with experts to create online professional development workshops for higher education faculty and administrators.
Jonathan lives in Medfield, Mass., with his wife and two daughters.
