Regis College is proud to announce that Class of 2026 Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program students achieved a 100% first-attempt pass rate across all four required national board examinations. This extraordinary accomplishment reflects a standard of excellence that Regis College DMS graduates have maintained year after year.

The achievement is especially remarkable in the context of national performance data. Across the country, pass rates for these board exams fall below 80%.

To earn national registration and practice as a diagnostic medical sonographer and vascular technologist, graduates must pass rigorous credentialing exams. These examinations assess comprehensive knowledge spanning ultrasound physics, cross-sectional anatomy, hemodynamics, physiology, and pathophysiology and pathophysiology for the Abdominal, Ob/Gyn and Vascular concentrations.

DMS, commonly known as ultrasound, is a multi-specialty imaging profession. Regis College’s program offers three sonography concentrations — Abdominal, Ob/Gyn, and Vascular — within one bachelor’s degree. The program is the only one in Massachusetts to offer a vascular concentration. Students receive didactic and clinical training in all three concentrations. Clinical, laboratory, and didactic education offer students the education and skills required of a sonographer and vascular technologist.
