Weston, MASS. — Regis announces the recipients of the 2025–2026 Remick Foundation Scholars Program. This year, five students have been selected to receive $4,000 scholarships each, totaling $20,000 in support from the Carole Remick Foundation. The scholarships honor the foundation’s mission to empower future leaders who are committed to equity, empathy, and meaningful contributions to their communities.
“We are grateful to the Carole Remick Foundation for its continued partnership and investment in our students,” said Associate Professor of Communication/Graduate Program Director at Regis College Colleen Malachowski, PhD. “Each of these scholars reflects the values of compassion, perseverance, and service that define Regis. Their stories inspire us all, and we are honored to support them as they pursue their goals.”
2025–2026 Remick Foundation Scholars
Kederson Pierre ’27
Pierre is a returning Remick Fellow who aspires to be an elementary school teacher. In his essay, he reflected, “When I think back on my journey, I can see a strong link between my goals and the Carole Remick Foundation's purpose. I admire the foundation's commitment to making schools more welcoming for everyone, and I am excited to help them reach their goal.”
Ainet Ramirez ’28
A rising sophomore and future pre-kindergarten teacher, Ramirez wrote in her application essay, “The mission of the Carole Remick Foundation speaks about the empowerment of future educators who are committed to equity, empathy, and lasting impact, which deeply resonates with my goals. I want my future students…to associate school with laughter, creativity, and joy.”
Hunter Zancan ’28
Zancan is a rising sophomore majoring in secondary education/humanities with plans to pursue the 4+1 master’s program in special education. He wrote in his essay, “My professional goal is to teach students with disabilities… My passion to serve others aligns with the mission of Regis College, a college dedicated to helping those less fortunate and always willing to help our dear neighbor.”
Dilenia Castillo ’28
A nursing major committed to compassionate patient care, in her essay Castillo wrote, “Being a nurse allows me to make a positive impact on people's lives every day. Most importantly, to be an advocate and provide the highest quality care to all patients with empathy, compassion, and dedication.”
Isabella Carroll ’29
Carroll is an incoming freshman majoring in marketing and communication. She wrote in her application essay, “I want to use words and stories to challenge harmful beauty standards and share honest experiences. I believe writing and designing can make people feel seen and understood. That is why the Carole Remick Foundation’s mission means so much to me.”
The Remick Charitable Foundation states that its purpose is to “provide funding for educational opportunities that enrich the intellectual curiosity, increase confidence and connect students with limited resources in New England to life experiences and opportunities for future growth.”
