The professional staff members are full time live-in Area Coordinators, Residence Directors, and Graduate Residence Directors who manage the residence halls and supervise a team of resident assistants. They are responsible for the overall administration of the residence hall community, informal counseling of students, responding to disciplinary actions, and encouraging and supporting leadership development opportunities, programs, and activities within the hall.
Professional staff members will have posted office hours during the work week, and there is a professional staff on call available 24/7 in the event of an emergency. The professional staff on call team is responsible for addressing immediate residence hall concerns when the Office of Residence Life or the Office of Student Affairs is closed.
