Regalos – meaning gifts in Spanish – is a word that captures the essence of Regis service immersion trips. It is reflective of the way that Regis students share their talents and gifts with diverse communities all around the world. In following with the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston students travel to different places – among them Haiti, Kenya, Los Angeles, the U.S. Mexico Border, New Orleans, and the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota – to serve their Dear Neighbor without Distinction. Every year as our service immersion programs grow, so does the need to fund them and make them accessible to all Regis students. It is due to this need that Regalos has become what it is today – our most central fundraiser event indispensable to upholding our commitment to service immersion trips.
This year Regalos will be held on the night of Thursday March 21st, 2019. The celebration will take place in the College Hall Foyer and it will begin at 5:30 p.m.. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served and there will be an open bar. During the gathering students will be sharing stories from their service immersion trips and raffle winners will be announced. If you are interested in supporting our service immersion trips, buy your ticket today or consider donating to our Regalos Fund campaign.
