Regalos – meaning gifts in Spanish – is a word that captures the essence of Regis service immersion trips. It is reflective of the way that Regis students share their talents and gifts with diverse communities all around the world. In following with the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston students travel to different places – among them Kenya, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, the U.S. Mexico Border, Appalachia, New Orleans, and Atlanta – to serve their Dear Neighbor without Distinction. Every year as our service immersion programs grow, so does the need to fund them and make them accessible to all Regis students. It is due to this need that Regalos has become what it is today – our most central fundraiser event indispensable to upholding our commitment to service immersion trips.
This year's annual Regalos Community Celebration and Fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 5 p.m. in the College Hall Foyer. Students and staff will share stories from this year’s service immersion trips to Mustard Seed Communities in the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, as well as the Civil Rights Pilgrimage. All proceeds will support these trips and all are welcome!
