Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship

The Edith Nourse Rogers Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Scholarship allows some eligible veterans and dependents in high-demand fields to extend their Post-9/11 GI Bill® or Fry Scholarship benefits. Scholarship recipients can receive up to nine months (or $30,000) of added benefits. You can determine your eligibility and apply for the benefit online. The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship (Fry Scholarship)

The Fry Scholarship is for children and spouses of Active-duty service members who died in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001, or Members of the Selected Reserve who died from a service-connected disability on or after September 11, 2001. Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP)

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) manages multiple educational programs for students in specific health care professions. The Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP) provides financial assistance to students receiving education or training in a direct or indirect health-care services discipline. This program is open to all students. Please feel free to contact the Center for Veteran and Military Family Services for assistance.

National Nursing Education Initiative (NNEI)

For nurses who are already employed by the VA, this program provides financial assistance to pursue a bachelor's or advanced nursing degree. Please contact the Center for Veteran and Military Family services for more information.

Scholarships and Benefits

Regis College academic scholarships can only be applied to the cost of tuition and fees and cannot be applied to room and board charges. Outside awards designated only for tuition and fees, including Tuition Remission, Tuition Exchange, Veteran’s Benefits, and some outside scholarships may require the reduction of the Regis Scholarship.

Students must report all outside scholarships, grants, tuition benefits, and veterans’ education benefits to the Office of Financial Aid. This includes benefits such as Chapter 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill®), Chapter 31 (Veteran Readiness and Employment), and other full- or partial-tuition scholarships or benefits. If outside funding covers only a portion of tuition and fees, institutional aid may be adjusted to cover any remaining eligible tuition and fees. These adjustments may occur at any time during the academic year if additional outside funding is received or reported after the initial financial aid award is made.
