Veterans and Military Connected Students using Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits may be eligible for the following scholarship opportunities:
The Edith Nourse Rogers Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Scholarship allows some eligible veterans and dependents in high-demand fields to extend their Post-9/11 GI Bill® or Fry Scholarship benefits. Scholarship recipients can receive up to nine months (or $30,000) of added benefits. You can determine your eligibility and apply for the benefit online. The Fry Scholarship is for children and spouses of Active-duty service members who died in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001, or Members of the Selected Reserve who died from a service-connected disability on or after September 11, 2001. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) manages multiple educational programs for students in specific health care professions. The Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP) provides financial assistance to students receiving education or training in a direct or indirect health-care services discipline. Students can check the scholarship program and apply directly online. This program is open to all students. For nurses who are already employed by the VA, this program provides financial assistance to pursue a bachelor's or advanced nursing degree. Please contact the Center for Veteran and Military Family services for more information.
