Not even the rain could dampen the spirit of Founders' Day!

Our annual community-wide day of service in honor of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston was a true celebration of compassion and action. Together, we carried on the legacy the Sisters began in 1650—responding to the needs of the time with heart and purpose.

Special thanks to Dan Leahy, AVP for Mission and Ministryfor leading the coordination of today’s events, Mark Clemente for managing transportation, Carolyn Jefferson for managing the registration site, all the site leaders, student panelists Krysonia Tavares ‘26, Younes Suleiman ‘27, and Maddie Philibotte ‘27, and Sisters Marian Batho, CSJ, Judith Costello, CSJ, and Rosemary Brennan, CSJ, for sharing their stories and wisdom with us. You all made Founders' Day so meaningful.

Here are a few snapshots from the day. All photos will be shared on the Regis social media channels soon.

Student News and Achievements

The annual Fresh Check Day, sponsored by the Center for Health and Wellness, saw a strong turnout as students came together to focus on mental health and well-being. Maria Hall Lawn was transformed into an expo-style event space, featuring interactive activities and peer-to-peer messaging around self-care and wellness. Creative stations like beaded bracelet making were designed to encourage open conversations and support among students.

The collaboration between Regis College and Novartis began in 2021, initiated by Regis alumna Courtney Horvath '06 who envisioned an opportunity for professionals pursuing careers in clinical research operations.

Through this unique partnership, students engage in hands-on learning alongside Novartis’ clinical research management teams while completing academic coursework at Regis. The two-year journey of the program's second cohort culminated in a celebration on Sept. 17 where they received their Certificate in Clinical Research Management. Two fellows are progressing into our Regulatory and Clinical Research Management graduate program.

Regis in Haiti

I'm so proud of the tenacity of the Regis in Haiti team who labored through significant logistical challenges and safety concerns to ensure the successful delivery of essential simulation equipment for the hands-on training that began this week in Haiti. These sessions are led by three simulation faculty trained by Regis in 2022.

Heartfelt thanks go to the entire Regis in Haiti team: Director of Global Nursing Nadia Raymond, Project Manager Sarah Tsoi, the Wagner Foundation, Partners In Healthand the Zanmi Lasante nursing team. Your dedication and collaboration made it possible to overcome these challenges and ensure the training moved forward with all the necessary tools in place. You truly moved mountains!
