    About

Lauren Shanbrun has been a Nuclear Medicine technologist since 2006. She began her career as a clinical nuclear medicine technologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, where she continued to work until 2017. Her love for teaching started early in her career and she transitioned to Regis College in 2012 where she served as the Clinical Coordinator for the Nuclear Medicine Program. At the beginning of 2018 she left Regis to be the Program Director for the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program at Rhode Island Hospital/Lifespan School of Medical Imaging in Providence, RI. She came back to Regis in January 2025 to serve as the Program Director for the Nuclear Medicine Program.

Throughout her career Lauren has been involved with the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technologist Section (SNMMI-TS) both on the national and local level. She has held several appointed positions nationally and has served as President of the New England Chapter of Nuclear Medicine Technologists. Her committee work with the SNMMI-TS includes education, meeting planning, advocacy, awards, grants, and scholarships, and special task forces including curriculum guidance. Lauren has lectured both nationally and locally and has guided many students to submit and present their research at national and local conferences. She is currently serving as Board of Trustees member for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), a leading credentialing organization that certifies and registers a wide range of radiologic disciplines.
