I'd like to acknowledge all the wonderful notes, texts, emails, and posts I've received since announcing my retirement effective June 2026. It is an honor to serve as president of this beloved university. I look forward to another positive year of growth and innovation as we inspire our students to Rise at Regis.

The 5th iteration of the Ulster University Health Science Summer Institute at Regis was a resounding success. Twenty-six students from four different degree programs and five faculty members spent June 16 to 21 at Regis learning about the unique features of healthcare in the U.S. and engaging in cultural activities. Academic site visits included LabCentral, NAPA Center Boston, Gillette Stadium (photo below taken at Gillette Lighthouse), the Track at New Balance, the Revolution Training Center, and the RI Nuclear Science Center. Many thanks to faculty and staff from the School of Health Sciences who contributed to this year’s program. Ulster students and faculty shared that the program couldn't have been better. Special thanks to Megan Gibbons for all her work!

The Ulster-Regis partnership is an excellent example of international exchange that is truly reciprocal in design, content, and execution. Regis students will have the opportunity to visit Northern Ireland again in March of 2027.

Congratulations to the 16 Regis Children's Center pre-kindergarten students who graduated on June 16. I always enjoy awarding their diplomas. We hope to see them back at Regis in about 13 years!

Faculty and Staff News and Achievements

I'm pleased to share that Regis has been recognized by Insight Into Academia magazine as one of only 57 colleges and universities nationwide to receive its Inspiring Programs in STEM Award for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to inclusive excellence and belonging across our STEM fields. Specifically, Regis was recognized for the Lorraine’s Leaders program, a comprehensive college planning and coaching program for rising high school juniors and seniors from historically disadvantaged backgrounds who are interested in pursuing health care or science careers. Lorraine’s Leaders is made possible through a generous initial investment from the Tegan Family Foundation.  Read more.

We had a great day at Marlborough Country Club for the 24th Annual Regis Athletics Golf Tournament. An incredible group of alumni, sponsors, and friends gathered in support of Regis athletic programs.

Student-athletes make up 1/3 of undergraduate student population and the funds we raised benefit our Division III varsity programs.

THANK YOU to all who sponsored, played, volunteered and worked hard behind the scenes to make it possible—and for believing in the power of athletics to build character, community, and lifelong pride. Photos from the event can be viewed here.

President's Office

We recently welcomed a delegation from Uganda to explore opportunities for collaboration and mutual support in educating healthcare professionals between Regis and Uganda.

We have so much going on this summer. We are thrilled to be welcoming new Regis associate of science in nursing (ASN) students from the Lawrence Memorial program. We are hosting an orientation for new ASN students on July 22. Please give them a warm Regis welcome.

We also have outside groups utilizing the campus this summer, including:

  • St. Thomas Moore Fellows
  • Weston Drama Workshop
  • Fidelity House Camp
  • New England High School Journalism Program
  • Boston United Volleyball Club

These are in addition to the Regis-run Lorraine’s Leaders  program on campus from June 20–July 31 and Summer Scholars from July 7–August 1.

And some exciting campus renovations will be happening. The campus mailroom has moved back to its former location adjacent to the mailboxes in the Lower Student Center. The Gear Shop also vacated its space in the LSC to prepare for its new location on the first floor of the Tegan Learning Commons. The vacated space in the LSC will be renovated for a new neurodiversity program in collaboration with Wellesley Public Schools that will also benefit students in our programs including OT, Social Work, SLP and ABA.
