Few things are more fascinating than the inner workings of the human mind and behavior. The psychology program at Regis College challenges students to think about the complexity of human behavior in new ways. Students are taught how to conduct research, critically analyze information, present ideas persuasively, and work collaboratively to find creative solutions to real-life situations and issues.
The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology major can be enriched with courses in the natural sciences, the social sciences, or the humanities. Upon graduation, psychology students are prepared to work in a wide variety of settings, including mental and behavioral health facilities, schools, health and human services organizations, research and clinical laboratories, or they may choose to pursue a post-graduate education.
Qualified students who wish to continue to graduate school can take up to three Regis graduate courses during their senior year as part of our Fast Track to Master's Program. Relevant master's degrees at Regis include an MA in Counseling, MS in Applied Behavior Analysis, and MA in Teaching Special Education.
While some psychology majors choose to continue to graduate school and become licensed psychologists or counselors, many of our students enter the workforce directly after graduation. Career options include:
The Psychology Department pushes you to be independent in your learning and encourages you to figure things out, even though they are always there for help. Instead of having one advisor, it feels as though you have four or five.
