Social work focuses on helping others including working with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities to achieve life-enhancing goals. Born out of an increased sense of social responsibility toward vulnerable populations, social work continues to be concerned with the advancement of economic and social justice. What makes the field unique is its dual focus on helping people and changing environments.

The Minor in Social Work at Regis College is grounded in the belief that experience and hands-on learning are essential for developing social work skills. Experiential learning takes place in the classroom and in service learning projects, internships, and field placements.
