Support Your Students. Strengthen Your Teaching

College classrooms today are more diverse, more dynamic—and more complex—than ever before. To really connect with students and support their success, educators need more than just content expertise. They need tools, strategies, and a teaching mindset that works for today’s learners. Whether you're new to teaching or looking to sharpen your teaching skills at a community college or a four-year institution, this flexible, fully online certificate program can help you become the kind of educator who makes a real difference with today’s college students.

Why Choose Regis College’s Higher Education Teaching Certificate?

While many instructors enter the college classroom as experts in their fields, few have had formal training in effective teaching practices. Most teach the way they were taught—but today’s diverse student body requires more. This program is designed to change that. You’ll get practical training grounded in current research and built around compassion, inclusion, and real student needs. At Regis, we believe effective teaching is something you can learn, and in this program, you’ll gain the tools to:

  • Communicate more effectively with students from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Adjust your curriculum to meet students where they are
  • Use differentiated instruction strategies that work in real classrooms
  • Design and apply assessment strategies that drive student success
