You are cordially invited to our third annual Social Justice Symposium with this year's inspiration - Being Heumann by Judith Heumann. Our annual research symposium includes submissions from students, faculty and staff around various social justice issues and implications. These submissions come in the form of poster presentations, panel/conference style papers, three-minute thesis slams, arts, and the first-year program writing contest.
The day will begin with opening remarks, onto our concurrent presentations, followed with a keynote speaker and an award ceremony to acknowledge the submissions, ending with our happy hour reception with food provided. The start of the event will be within the College Hall Foyer; however, various classrooms will be used for breakouts; a schedule will be available upon your arrival with all break out locations.
Last year we had over 150 submissions from students and faculty that covered an array of topics impacting campus, local, state, and federal spaces. We are so excited to see what our community produces this year!
If you have any questions, please feel free reach out. We look forward to seeing you! Everyone is invited, thus, please feel free to welcome anyone to attend that is a student, staff, faculty, alum, board of trustee, and/or support system/families of our Regis community.
If you have any questions about attending or submitting, please email us with no hesitation at sjsymposium@regiscollege.edu.
