    About

Dr. Amanda Clark brings her vast experience in nursing practice and health care education to the Master of Science in Nursing program. Before joining Regis College, she earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing and provided care as registered nurse practitioner, clinical manager, and palliative care manager, as well as served in other roles as an educator.

As a nurse, Dr. Clark was dedicated to developing and implementing new approaches to practice. This included creating an advanced illness service type program to educate patients about high-level health care processes. She would later apply that expertise and commitment to innovation to roles in home-based palliative care and hospice care training and delivery.

Dr. Clark also holds Wound Care Certification (2008), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification (2013), and Adult Gerontology Nursing Practice Certification (2013).

In her current role as assistant professor and course coordinator at Regis, she uses this collected knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and leadership to help inform the programs and curriculum of the MSN degree.

In addition to higher education, Dr. Clark continues to be active as a hospice nurse practitioner in the Pennsylvania area. Her dedication to staying on the forefront of the field is also informed by memberships in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, and Doctors of Nursing Practice.org.
