Regis College ushers in season with December 1 & 2 Christmas Concert
November 26, 2012

Rediscover the meaning of the season at Regis College Music Department’s annual Christmas Concert. Combined Glee Club, Alumnae Chorus, Handbell Choir, Instrumental Ensemble, Chamber Singers and orchestra perform choral classics as well as contemporary arrangements of familiar carols.
Not to be missed is the favorite for children of all ages, “’Twas the Night Before Christmas.” The Instrumental Ensemble plays jazz band-style pieces, and the Chamber Singers offer contemporary a cappella performance followed by the always popular Handbell Choir that will ring a special arrangement of the Christmas Spiritual, “Go Tell It On the Mountain.” The group will perform three movements of the great Magnificat in D by J. S. Bach.
During the intermission, audience members will enjoy a cookies-and-punch reception in the holiday-decked atrium, and the concert concludes with the traditional “Silent Night” by candlelight.
The concert will take place on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 at 3:30pm in the Casey Theatre of the Fine Arts Center at Regis College, 235 Wellesley Street, Weston, MA. To reserve general seating tickets, call the box office at 781-768-7070. Tickets will also be available at the door. Ticket prices: General $15; Seniors, Alumnae, Faculty, Students $10; children 12 and under $5; Regis students and LLARC
