Former U.S. President Clinton congratulates President Hays and the Regis College Haiti Project

February 18, 2014

This morning in Port au Prince Haiti, President Antoinette Hays and Regis faculty members preparing for the graduation of the first cohort of Haitian nursing faculty to receive a Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Haiti through the Regis College Haiti Project met former U. S. President Bill Clinton. After the earthquake in Haiti in January, 2010, former Presidents Clinton and Bush oversaw a special fund to help re-build the country and the Clinton-Bush organization recognized and helped to fund the Regis College Haiti Project "to educate the educators" as the real thing -- an effort that would help rebuild the human infrastructure of Haiti in a lasting way.

We will post further news and photos from Haiti today as the graduation occurs.
