“Shark Tank” Successes Tracey Noonan and Danielle Vilagie Shared Their Inspirational Story
The founders of Wicked Good Cupcakes, Tracey Noonan and Danielle Vilagie, delivered the keynote address at the Imagine Career Networking Conference as part of Regis Fest 2017 at Regis, a leading Catholic university in Greater Boston.
The Hanover-based mother-daughter team founded their company and became overnight entrepreneurial sensations after making a deal with Kevin O’Leary on ABC’s Shark Tank.
“The career networking event at Regis Fest was a marquee event for the university on a weekend that celebrates our mission to positively influence young people and prepare them for their professional lives after they graduate,” said University President Antoinette Hays, PhD, RN. “We’re grateful that Tracey and Dani were able to share their inspirational story of hard work and sacrifice with our students and community.”
“Dani and I were honored to be a part of such an informative and engaging weekend at Regis,” said Noonan. “We are always more than happy to share our experiences in the hopes that we will inspire and encourage even just one person. If we're able to meet that goal, we feel we have accomplished what we set out to do. Giving back is an integral part of achieving much success.”
Regis’ Career Networking Day also featured a breakout discussion with Kim Miles, founder and CEO of Miles in Heels Productions, titled “Golden Rules for Getting Past Hello!” Nick Bliamptis, founder and CEO of ProfileGraderPro.com, led the day’s second breakout session with a talk called “Mastering the Art of LinkedIn.”
“I had the privilege of addressing both professionals and students alike at Regis to teach them best practices in networking skills. I told them to remember their smile and manners and never underestimate the power of a good old fashioned hand-written thank you note,” said Miles.
Regis Fest is an annual family and friends weekend including athletics events across campus, family Mass and social activities.
