Due to limited access to campus, only a certain number of campus spaces will be available to students, faculty, and staff returning this fall. Please be aware of renewed, clearly posted occupancy limits. The limits will vary depending on the size of the space.

Athletic Facility

There will be no access to the gymnasium or pool during the fall semester. A designated fitness center will be available for students living on campus, and they are allowed to use outdoor facilities such as the track.

Dining Operations

Dining Services will become operational when faculty, staff, and students return to campus at the end of August. All food venues will be operational, allowing for the reduction of the number of students in any one venue. Students will use the swipe system already in place to limit contact with dining service employees.

Changes have been made to the provision of meal delivery:

  • There will not be buffet style dining services. Grab and go style meals, as well as pre-packaged food and beverage items will be available.
  • Times of operation will be increased at additional sites.
    • The main dining hall in the Upper Student Center will allow seating at reduced capacity.
    • Additional dining spaces will be added to accommodate students safely consuming meals in a safe manner.
    • The College Hall Bistro offers pre-packaged items, which will continue.
    • The Grill located in the Lower Student Center will continue to offer pre-packaged items as well as boxed to go meals/a la carte items.

Elevators

  • Capacity in elevators in academic buildings and residence halls will be reduced.
  • No more than one occupant at a time in the elevators will be allowed.
  • Signage will be posted to reflect this practice.
  • Elevator passengers will be encouraged to push buttons with an alternative item other than a bare hand.
  • Sanitizing stations will be located outside of all elevators.

Library

  • The library has arranged spaces so as to best accommodate social distancing.
  • Enhanced cleaning protocols will be managed by Facilities.
  • The library will continue to provide copiers, fax machines and scanners.
  • Study rooms will be limited to one student at a time and study carrels will be available with nearby sanitizer stations and enhanced cleaning.
  • Computer stations will be available, with sanitizing spray available for keyboards and wired mice.
  • At the circulation desk, books can be checked in and out with a quarantine period. Reservations will be available through eResources when possible plus scanned documents in Moodle.
  • Research help will continue to be available through email, phone, Zoom and modified in person services.

Parking Passes

Parking passes will be accessed through an online application process. There will be no in-person applications for parking passes. Residential students will be issued their passes upon residence hall check-in. An equally safe procedure will be developed for commuter students, faculty, and staff upon their return to campus.

Post Office

At the beginning of August, the Post Office hours will go to a regular summer schedule. A return to normal business hours is expected to ensure timely delivery of important items for students, staff, and faculty.

Regis College Children's Center

  • All RCC teachers and administrators have been trained in COVID-19 precautionary measures and will follow CDC and DPH guidelines in their daily interactions with children, parents and caregivers.
  • Physical modifications have been made to both the classroom spaces and the playgrounds to allow adherence to physical distancing guidelines as well as increased sanitation practices.
  • Only RCC staff and children will be allowed in the Center.
  • Drop off and pick up will occur in the parking lot, with health checks performed prior to the child entering the center.
  • All children will be required to have their temperature checked daily by a family member prior to attending the RCC.
  • Parents sign a daily attestation form saying that their child does not have a fever or other signs of illness and they didn’t give them any fever reducing medication.
  • All staff will be required to have their temperature checked daily, as well as filling out a daily symptom check list.
  • Children/ families and staff are required to respond to daily health check questions and visual/ verbal screening.
  • All children over the age of two are encouraged and all staff are required to wear face masks when unable to maintain 6 feet of social distance. Additionally, at all times that staff interact with families they are required to wear face masks.

Regis Dental Center

  • The Dental Center is opening to staff on July 19.
  • The following protocols will be completed prior to reopening of the Center:
    • Training required for all staff/faculty/students on COVID-19 protocol including social distancing, mask wearing, handwashing, and donning/doffing PPE.

Restrooms

All Restrooms across campus will have enhanced cleaning protocols in place.

  • For restrooms with limited size, individuals should wait in the hallway if the room is occupied, decreasing the crowding of any one space.
  • The number of sanitizer stations have increased outside of restroom facilities.
