The Regis College Graduate Hooding Ceremony is an intimate celebration for graduates receiving a Masters or Doctoral degree. It is held during the week of Commencement, and graduates generally attend both events. There will be a reception for graduates and their guests immediately following the Hooding Ceremony.
What is Hooding?
The hoods awarded during the Hooding Ceremony symbolize the graduate’s school, degree and field of study through their length and colors of the lining and binding. All Regis hoods are lined with crimson and gold, and the velvet trimming on the hood indicates each student’s field of study:
Please RSVP for Graduate Hooding no later than May 1st, 2019. There is a limit of 6 guests per student, tickets are not required.
Hoods, along with cap and gown, must be ordered through the campus bookstore, either in person or online. You are responsible for ordering and picking up your regalia at the bookstore prior to Hooding.
The deadline for online ordering is February 15th.
The deadline for ordering regalia in-store is March 15th to guarantee your size. After the March 15th deadline, you can still pick up regalia, however we cannot guarantee correct size availability.
Doctoral Students: The deadline to order doctoral gowns is March 18th to guarantee delivery. Please find the correct form, fill out completely, and either scan/email to the bookstore or bring to the bookstore in person.
