Mark your calendars for our annual Regis Fest weekend celebrating family, friends, alumni, and students! This year’s Regis Fest will take place on September 28 and 29 and includes many fun-filled events as well as plenty of opportunities to cheer on Regis Pride athletics at home.

Highlights Include

  • Friday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. in the FAC: Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey joins WBZ NewsRadio's Dan Rea for a live broadcast of "Talk the Vote" to discuss the critical election in November. The second half of the show will focus on Massachusetts Ballot Question #1 regarding nurse-patient assignment levels.
  • Saturday, Sept. 29: A full day of events on our beautiful campus includes a jazz brunch, a bbq and beer tasting, and Pride athletic events.

5 p.m. The Center For Inclusive Excellence Diversity And Inclusion Alumni Reception

This event gives Regis an opportunity to actively listen to, acknowledge, and learn from the stories and experiences of our alumni who identify as persons of color or LGBTQIA+. It also gives our alumni an opportunity to guide Regis in this work of inclusion, and help us to know what they missed and what we need to do for current and future students.

Registration required. Catch a live broadcast of WBZ’s Talk the Vote with Dan Rea featuring Attorney General Maura Healey. The show will discuss local news and the upcoming mid-term elections.

1 p.m. Conversations With Faculty: Sport In Society

Registration required. Presenter: Elizabeth Conant EdD, Assistant Professor of Sport Management and Faculty Athletics Representative. Throughout history and up to modern times certain athletes coaches and other sport stakeholders have used their elevated status in society as a platform to educate protest and/or advance a cause or issue related to sport in society that is important to them personally. But with today’s 24-7 media cycle and the explosion of social media the platform is bigger and the megaphone is louder. From Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the National Anthem to Ali Raisman advocating for change in USA Gymnastics we will discuss how sport stakeholders become involved with issues that can be “bigger than sport” and ways that they are making a difference in our world.

Presenter: Steven Threlkeld PhD Associate Professor and Program Director of Neuroscience From understanding the opioid epidemic and neurological disease to unraveling the impact of gaming and social media on perception neuroscience has a profound impact on society. This event will explore intersections between neuroscience and society and highlight how the Regis Neuroscience program and its students are helping to advance the field.
