About

The assistant director of Residence Life oversees the community engagement and overall journey of first-year students living on campus. While aiding in the supervision and training of residence life professional and para-professional staff members, the assistant director fulfills the responsibilities of the resident director role specifically for the first-year residential community in Angela Hall. The assistant director also partners with other first-year experience resources such as the Office of New Student Orientation and First-Year Seminar faculty to support the transition and overall success of students in the beginning of their academic and co-curricular experience at Regis.

Kelly Brochu joined the Regis Residence Life team August of 2016. Originally from Rhode Island, Kelly earned her bachelor of arts in English communications with two minors in psychology and theology at Emmanuel College. Discovering her passion for student affairs and assisting students through their acclimation into college, Kelly obtained her master's in higher education in student affairs at Salem State University in 2014. With ample practice and experience in student development, first-year experience, and developing diversity and inclusion initiatives, Kelly’s primary role is to be a resource for our Regis community, specifically the first-year students in Angela Hall. Her responsibilities also include aiding the training, assessment, and supervision of resident assistants, graduate/professional residence life staff, being a CARE Advisor, and also instructing the Community Leadership Development course for current and aspiring student leaders.
