    About

    Helene Bowen Brady, DNP, M.Ed, RN-BC, NEA-BC is an Associate Professor and Director of the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) Program at Regis. Dr. Bowen Brady teaches graduate students in the master's and doctoral programs in the Young School of Nursing. As part of her faculty role, Dr. Bowen Brady is the Nurse Scientist at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH) in Boston, MA.

    Prior to joining Regis, Dr. Bowen Brady held numerous leadership positions in nursing in both the acute care and community settings. Most recently she was the Associate Chief Nurse for Practice and Innovation at BWFH where she was responsible for the Nursing Quality, Nursing Professional Development, and Nursing Informatics departments. Dr. Bowen Brady provided leadership, direction, and support to advance quality and clinical initiatives that demonstrate excellence in nursing practice. She played a key role in supporting BWFH to achieve its first designation as an ANCC Magnet® recognized organization in 2019. She continues to maintain a per diem practice at BWFH as a nurse leader/scientist.

    Dr. Bowen Brady holds ANCC national certifications in nursing professional development and as a nurse executive-advanced. She is a member of multiple professional nursing organizations including the American Nurses Association, the Association for Nurses in Professional Development, the Eastern Nurses Research Society, the Clinical Nurse Leader Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Boston University School of Nursing Archives.

    Her areas of interest include peer review, shared governance, academic-practice partnerships, and evidence-based practice, and has presented on these topics at local, regional, and national conferences.
