Classroom Experience

  • Academic classrooms will adhere to physical distancing guidelines.
  • In the case of classrooms with two points of egress, there will be an entrance door and an exit door.
  • In rooms with one egress, all students waiting for a class will not enter the class until the faculty member and all students have left the previous class.
  • Class surfaces, e.g. tables and keyboards, will be wiped down with disinfectant sprays and wipes.

Course Schedules

  • In-person classes will be held in an enhanced schedule, allowing for increased hours to accommodate the shorter time span of the term.
  • To accommodate the need for physical distancing, the time schedule of classes will be modified to decrease the number of students in a hallway at any one time.
  • There may be some changes to existing student schedules based on schedule modifications and classroom availability.

Course Delivery

  • Remote and face-to-face course delivery will be determined on a course-by-course basis.
  • There may be changes made during the semester that will alter the delivery approach.
    • Your professor will be your best resource for any changes during the semester.
  • Accommodations will be made for students and faculty who are not able to attend class in person.

Classroom Spaces

  • Based on the public health guidelines regulating social distancing, classrooms are being assessed and reconfigured to accommodate new (and lowered) room capacity.
  • It is anticipated that spaces previously not used for classroom meetings will be converted to classroom use as needed.
