Regis College is honored to name Kevin T. Conry, JD; adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University, and Jigisha B. Patel, JD, associate general counsel and chief advisor for international and immigration services at Northeastern University, to its board of trustees.

Kevin Conry head shotConry has spent his career serving in higher education and the nonprofit sector. As an adjunct professor of law for more than two decades, he has taught on issues related to nonprofit organizations. He most recently served as the vice president for development at the Center for Global Development, a nonprofit that aims to reduce global poverty and improve lives through innovative economic research and policy advocacy.

Prior to this, he served in a variety of senior academic administrative roles at Georgetown University, including law vice president of strategic development and external affairs, and associate dean at Georgetown Law. He provided oversight for fundraising, alumni relations, communications, real estate planning, public safety and emergency planning, and continuing legal education. Married to Regis alumna Mary Beth Graham Conry ’74, he received his bachelor and juris doctor degrees from Georgetown University.

“Kevin has tremendous higher education experience and knows Regis well through his wife,” said Regis College President Antoinette Hays, PhD, RN. “He will bring a fresh new voice to our board.”

Jigisha Patel head shotPatel has spent the majority of her career serving as a global advisor in higher education at Northeastern University. Her work focuses on global initiatives, international students and programs, international hiring and contracts, global compliance and regulatory affairs, U.S. sanctions/embargoes, and general higher education matters. As chief advisor for international and immigration services, Patel strategically guides a university with more than 16,000 international students and scholars.

Prior to Northeastern, she served as associate attorney at Costa and Riccio, LLP in Boston, and Zavala Law Offices in Phoenix, Arizona. She is actively engaged in the legal community, serving on the Boston Bar Association In-House Forum Advisory Committee and is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and South Asian Bar Association (SABA). Patel received her juris doctor from New England Law and bachelor of arts in political science from Arizona State University.

“I am excited to have Jigisha join our Board and bring her knowledge of first-generation, immigrant, and international student experience to the table,” said Hays.
