Teniesea Russell (she/her) is currently a third year Master's student studying Mental Health Counseling at Boston College (BC). Teniesea received her bachelor's degree in psychology from New York University. Prior to her arrival at BC, she had the opportunity to be a college counselor for inner-city students in grades nine through 12, where she assisted in providing these individuals with resources towards receiving a post-secondary education. She enjoyed catering her strengths to each student and advocated for those who felt as though they did not have a voice. Through this and previous work, she became interested in social justice and advocacy especially for those within marginalized identities namely BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks and feels excited to extend this passion here at Regis.
Teniesea is interested in working with students in underrepresented groups. Her professional interests include interpersonal relationships, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, personality disorders, and access issues.
