Dr. Higgins is the Associate Dean for the Post-Licensure and Graduate Nursing Program for the Weston campus and an Assistant Professor. She has completed her MS degree and DNP degree at Regis College so understands the graduate nursing program from both the perspective of a student and faculty. The classes she has had the pleasure of teaching include Advanced Health Assessment and as a FNP Clinical Faculty.
Additionally, Dr. Higgins is a practicing nurse practitioner working as a Hospitalist at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston where she has worked for over twenty years in multiple roles. She holds certifications in both orthopedics and wound care and loves to share her experiences as both a RN and NP with her students.
Dr. Higgins is also the recipient of several CARE (Caring, Access, Rx, and Education) Initiative grants as well as the 2023 EOHHS Human Service WFO Grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, HCBS Workforce Development Grant Program.
