Michelle Cromwell is an equity, diversity, and inclusion scholar-practitioner, conflict coach, and dialogue facilitator. In addition to her Equity, Diversity and Inclusion work at Regis, she serves as an independent consultant and expert reviewer with emphasis on conflict resolution, crisis management, and diversity and inclusion. She has presented many papers at national and international conferences and is a member of professional organizations including American Evaluation Association, National Association for Diversity Officers in Higher Education, Association for Conflict Resolution, and National Association for Multicultural Education. Her research is focused on using decolonizing methodologies to build trust and allow for reconciliation where there is historic prejudice, misuse of power, and race or class based privilege.
Examining how storytelling can be used to dismantle and disrupt, how people experience high power differentials, prejudice, and privilege in institutions and communities. The methodology includes indigenous storytelling and other decolonizing methodologies that enable participants have authentic dialogue using multiple intelligences.
