Dr. Glines holds a bachelor of arts in secondary education/English from Emerson College and a master of education from Lesley University (with Massachusetts Moderate Special Education certification) and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Union Institute and University in Higher Education Administration. She has studied at Harvard as a post-grad and at Chapel Hill. Dr. Glines taught in the Natick public school system for seven years, has worked as an executive director and taught at Lesley as an assistant professor, was the founding president of Beacon College in Florida, served at Lynn University for 20 years as a dean with academic rank as full professor and at American College Dublin as dean of international studies. She has consulted with colleges and has presented at national and international conferences on non-traditional teaching, the neurology of learning, curriculum development and metacognitive and by-pass strategies for students with academic challenges and learning disabilities. She continues to be most interested in neurology and the practical application of brain based learning into higher education classrooms. She is also interested in the “science” of gratitude.
