Katherine Decker

About

Katherine Decker (she/her) is currently a second-year master's student studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William James College. Katherine received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and German studies from Denison University in 2022. Prior to studying at William James, she had the opportunity to work as an English teacher under a Fulbright Scholarship for high school and college-aged students in Graz and Vienna, Austria.

Katherine’s professional interests include identity development and exploration, stress and anxiety management/coping strategies, life transitions, and healing from trauma. Katherine has experience working as a clinical intern with children of diverse racial, socioeconomic, and religious identities; as well as diverse areas of focus, such as managing family relationships, coping with academic stress, and using trauma-informed practices. Katherine is passionate about enhancing student well-being and assisting students in developing long-lasting life skills.
