    About

    Dr. Helen Sabolek Consiglio is an Associate Professor of Psychology. She specializes in research methods and learning and memory, and teaches courses in psychology, neuroscience, and yoga. She mentors students in both classroom and research settings. Her research explores equine neuroanatomy and behavior, as well as how behavioral interventions, including yoga and equine assisted services impact mental health outcomes. Dr. Sabolek Consiglio is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) and a licensed riding instructor. She integrates her expertise in neuroscience with her yoga practice to promote holistic well-being. Dr. Sabolek Consiglio also co-facilitates trauma-informed equine programming with veterans at Project Comeback in Holliston, Massachusetts. Her interdisciplinary approach, combining neuroscience, psychology, and holistic practices, underscores her dedication to fostering mental health and well-being both within and beyond the academic environment.

    Prior to working at Regis College, Dr. Sabolek Consiglio completed a research fellowship in Pediatric Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital investigating the synchronization of neurons in epilepsy.
