    About

    Frazier B. Beatty, PhD, MPH, CHES is the program director of the online Master of Public Health program.

    Dr. Beatty is a public health professional with a diverse background in online education. He has a combination of over 20 years of educational training and educational management experience. He also has over 20 years of experience conducting research and using best-practice approaches and data to improve student academic programs. Dr. Beatty has worked for state and federal government agencies, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. His research interests include using Telehealth to address HIV and other infectious diseases. Dr. Beatty has been teaching Public Health online since 2010 and also mentoring PhD students since 2012.

    Professional experience:

    Dr. Beatty has extensive experience in public health, with over a decade of online education experience using innovative learning modalities to engage learners from all across the globe. Dr. Beatty has experience at all levels of government in public health working as a health communications expert for the US Food and Drug Administration. Additionally, he has experience working for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and North Carolina and South Carolina state-level public health agencies as a Contract Officer. He has public health research and community based research experience working with the University of North Carolina's Sheps Center for Health Services Research.
