Dr. Carrie Thomas is a registered dietitian with a broad background in nutrition science. While attending graduate school, she worked as an outpatient registered dietitian in the Health Services Nutrition Office at the University of Connecticut (UCONN), where she provided nutrition counseling to students and university employees, and planned and delivered nutrition education and health promotion workshops to UCONN students and staff. Prior to joining Regis College in 2016, Dr. Thomas was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University where she studied micronutrient metabolism in pregnant teenagers. Her current research interests include childhood obesity and child nutrition education, behavior change as it relates to nutrition and wellness, and teaching and learning in higher education. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Massachusetts Dietetic Association.
