Experience

Dr. Murray initiated the undergraduate communication certificate program in the early 1980s and spearheaded the establishment of an undergraduate communication major in 1986. She was instrumental in creating the graduate communication program in 2012. She continues to teach courses on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her specialties are public relations and intercultural communication and she has won several grants in the area of film studies. She has directed many of the graduate capstone theses/projects, as well as advising students completing the graduate practicum. Dr. Murray is an active member of several professional associations including the Boston Women Communicators, the Public Relations Society of America, the Publicity Club of New England, the National Communication Association and is the Director of Adult Evening Classes in German at Boylston Schul-verein.
