Regis College and Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford form an educational partnership, Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Nursing and Radiography Programs, in which the associate degree is granted by Regis College.
Students wishing to enter Radiography come to Regis College for the first year and take the pre-requisites. Once completed and admission criteria has been met by Lawrence Memorial/Regis College, students will apply and if accepted will complete the program at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Once the student begins the program (in August), the student is no longer a full time student at Regis College. The student is a full time Lawrence Memorial student, where Regis College will grant the Associate of Science degree. For many services, including financial aid, please contact Lawrence Memorial (www.lmregis.org).
There is a guaranteed number of students from Regis College that will be accepted into the Lawrence Memorial program. After completing the Associate of Science degree program, students are automatically guaranteed admission into the Bachelor of Science degree completion program in Medical Imaging. Please visit our website for more details. Students may also apply to one of the full time post-licensure concentration programs to complete the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging degree and become multi-credentialed.
The Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Medical Radiography Program provides a 22-month Associate of Science degree with a major in Medical Radiography. The program’s curriculum closely integrates classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences. The professional course work occurs at the program’s Lawrence Memorial campus in Medford and its affiliated clinical education settings. The curriculum is designed to help students develop a thorough understanding of the medical radiographic process with a caring and critical-thinking approach to its practice.
In addition to the professional course work, seven general education courses enrich the student’s total education experience. General education classes are taken at the Regis College campus in Weston, Massachusetts.
Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist credentialing exam in Radiography. After certification and licensure, graduates of the program are recognized as emerging leaders in the radiologic sciences.
