Regalos: Supporting Regis Service Around the Globe
Regalos – meaning gifts in Spanish – is a word that captures the essence of Regis service immersion trips. It is reflective of the way that Regis students share their talents and gifts with diverse communities all around the world. In following with the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, students travel to different places––Peru, Kenya, the U.S. Mexico Border, New Orleans, and the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota––to serve the dear neighbor.
As our service immersion programs grow, so does the need to fund them and make them accessible to all Regis students. It is due to this need that Regalos has become what it is today––our most central fundraiser event indispensable to upholding our commitment to service immersion trips.
This year Regalos will be held on the night of Thursday February 22, 2018. The celebration will take place in the College Hall Foyer and it will begin at 6:30 pm. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and there will be an open bar. During the gathering students will be sharing stories from their service immersion trips and raffle winners will be announced. If you are interested in supporting our service immersion trips, please consider donating to our campaign. Tickets to Regalos will be sold throughout January and February, you can purchase your ticket here.
