Regis College Fire Safety

The Regis College Police Fire Safety Officer administers an aggressive program of regular inspection, testing and maintenance of College facilities, especially the residence halls. This is done to ensure compliance with all applicable fire and life safety codes and standards, and by conducting regular egress drills and a variety of educational and training programs for all students, faculty and staff.

Regis College Police Department’s Fire Safety Officer works in conjunction with the Weston Fire Department and Regis College Physical Plant Facilities to ensure the safety of faculty, staff and students on campus. Regis College Department of Public Safety through its fire safety officer continues to work on improving fire and life safety programs and systems throughout the campus. The Town of Weston Fire Department maintains an ongoing and cooperative effort in working closely with Regis College to continually improve the college’s fire and life safety program.

Fire Safety Tips

  • Know of at least 2 ways out of your room or office ahead of time
  • Know the locations of at least 1 fire extinguisher is ahead of time
  • Know the locations of a pull station to activate the fire alarm system
  • Vacate the building immediately upon the sound of an alarm
  • Do not tamper with fire protection equipment
  • Familiarize yourself with the college fire safety regulations
