The Office of International Student Services provides members of the international community at Regis College with resources that enable them to achieve their academic and co-curricular goals. The OISS supports its international community members and their families in all dimensions of the Regis College student experience. The OISS endorses an environment in which all members of the campus have an understanding and appreciation of the international perspective and sustains this mission through cultural, educational and social programming. Honoring the tenants of the CSJ, the OISS welcomes all members of the global community without distinction into the Regis College community.
Regis College is committed to celebrating diversity, and we welcome the world to our campus. Our international (non-U.S. citizen) student population comprises 3 percent of our full-time undergraduate population.
Our international student advisor assists international students with:
- Adjusting to American culture
- Matters concerning immigration and naturalization procedures
- Employment authorization
- Academic support service referrals
Regis College offers students support services through our Academic Center for Excellence to those who require additional help in certain areas such as:
- peer tutoring on various academic subjects
- peer writing at the Writing Center
- study skills
Consideration is given to applicants whose educational background varies from the above profile, including those who have taken the GED in lieu of the traditional high school experience.
The Admission Committee places primary emphasis on the secondary school record (courses selected, grades received, and rank in class), a personal interview, one teacher and one guidance recommendation, and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and/or American College Testing (ACT), TOEFL or IELTS results. The Admission Committee does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, or handicap. In fact, Regis College welcomes diversity among students.
The Admission Committee considers applicants for early admission, rolling admission, and advanced placement. Decisions regarding acceptance are made within two to three weeks of receipt of completed applications.
