Poetry reading and reception Wednesday, February 28, 7 pm Admission: FREE Fred Marchant is the author of three books of poetry. Tipping Point, his first book, was named winner of the 1993 Washington Prize from The Word Works. His second book, Full Moon Boat, came out in 2000 from Graywolf Press. In 2002, Dedalus Press (Dublin, Ireland) brought out House on Water, House in Air: New and Selected Poems. His reviews, essays, and poems have appeared in a wide variety of journals, including Field, AGNI, Harvard Review, Literary Imagination, New American Writing, Perihelion, Ploughshares, Salamander, among others. He is also the co-translator (with Nguyen Ba Chung) of From a Corner of My Yard, a collection of poetry by the contemporary Vietnamese poet Tran Dang Khoa. He teaches at Suffolk University, where he is professor of English and director of the Creative Writing Program and the founder of the Suffolk University Poetry Center.
