Twentieth Annual ACDA Collegiate Choral Festival Concert

Regis College Glee Club hosts its twentieth Collegiate Choral Festival! Come celebrate this mid-winter choral collaboration as choirs from area colleges and universities conclude a day of music-making with a gala festival concert. Choirs will perform individually with their conductors, singing a great variety of choral repertoire, from classical motets to rousing spirituals and humorous novelty tunes. The 200-voice combined choirs join forces with the 50-piece Smith College Orchestra

Bias in Health Care Lecture

Dr. Augustus White III, an Orthopedic Surgeon from Harvard Medical School, will be visiting Regis College on February 27th, 2013. Dr. White’s lecture is made possible by the newly established Co-Curricular Mini-Grant program here at Regis College, and put on by Ann Rosas. Dr. White will be discussing racial injustices in health care and medical treatment. The Regis College community is lucky to have such an esteemed speaker on our campus. Dr. White’s lecture will benefit a variety of groups, both on and off campus, on a co-curricular level. Students involved in multicultural groups, nursing or public health students, students interested in diversity issues and many more would benefit strongly from attending this event.

The Black Student Organization will be leading a performance celebrating Black History Month on February 28th, 2013, in the Fine Arts Center. The show will highlight a variety of performances from different acts throughout the black community. This performance will surely be a great experience for all attendees, and serve as a co-curricular learning experience for students. Students interested in communications, theatre, racial and diversity issues, and any multi-cultural clubs would greatly benefit from attending this performance.
