Frequently Asked Housing Questions
When will I know who my roommate is?
Once we receive your Roommate Application by the end of July, you will receive your housing information by mid-August.
Once I have my roommate(s) name, how can I contact him or her?
When you receive your housing letter you will get your roommate's name and full address. Additionally, once you set up your Regis e-mail account, you can look up your roommate’s Regis e-mail address. It is a good idea to get in contact with your roommate before the school year begins, so you can work out what you should bring.
I have a friend who is also attending Regis College and living on campus. Can I live with that friend?
You can request to live with a specific person on your roommate application and at Summer Orientation. However, we strongly suggest that you try to live with someone else your first year of college. Not only can living together cause problems in a friendship, but also it is also great to have another room to visit when you are homesick or stressed out!
What can I have in my room?
Please visit the Pack Your Bags section for a complete list of items to bring to Regis.
Please Note: If you are under 21 years old, you cannot have any alcohol paraphernalia, including promotional items and shot glasses.
What do I do if I am having a problem with my roommate?
It is advised that you speak with an RA or the RD of the building in which you live. Any in-hall problems should first be brought to the attention of a trained staff member within the building. If the situation warrants further attention, a staff member will notify the Office of Community Life.
What is an RA? What is an RD?
Please visit the Community Life Staff section for a description of our staff.
What if I have questions or problems with my bill?
Students who believe they have been erroneously charged fees related to the Community Life Office should speak with a Community Life Office Staff member at 781-768-7452. Staff will review the charges on the student’s bill and explain the nature of the charge (i.e. damages, fines, furniture, etc.). However, all other questions and/or problems regarding a student’s bill should be discussed with the Business Office at 781-768-7206.
