The mission of the EdD in Higher Education Leadership program at Regis is to prepare scholarly practitioners with the skills needed to connect research with practice, lead high-performing organizations, and contribute to student learning. The program is directly aimed at professional practitioners in higher education and other leadership venues serving in capacities that focus on: 1) academic administration and 2) teaching and learning.
The doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) is the first of its kind in Greater Boston and the first doctoral program offered by Regis. Designed to address the nursing faculty shortage throughout the United States, the Regis DNP is scheduled so that those in the program can continue full-time employment.
This program consists of an integrated curriculum streamlining the accredited master's nurse practitioner program and doctor of nursing practice program. This four-year 76-79 credit BS-DNP program can be completed on a full- or part-time basis and will award students with a master's degree after completion of the third year to enable them to sit for national NP certification until the doctoral level mandate has been implemented nationwide.
