Miriam Finn Sherman '98, MPA
Vice President of Institutional Advancement
Miriam has an extensive history working in development for multiple non-profit organizations since she graduated from Regis College magna cum laude with a degree in political science in 1998. Miriam also holds a master’s degree in public administration from Suffolk University with a concentration in non-profit management.
Miriam was a member of the IA + Alumni Relations team at Regis from 2004 to 2006 and returned to work at her alma mater again in 2010. In her current role as Vice President, Miriam oversees all major fundraising initiatives for the College. She works closely with each member of the IA + Alumni Relations team, the president, and the Board of Trustees to increase unrestricted and restricted giving while aligning all goals with the College’s strategic plan.
Alexis Baum, MS
Associate Director of Advancement Communications and Alumni Relations
Alexis has been a member of the IA + Alumni Relations team since 2007. Throughout her career at Regis, she has held several positions and has been involved in planning alumni and fundraising events, launching the student phonathon and student giving programs, managing the Regis Fund Executive Committee, and Reunion planning.
In her current role, Alexis manages all communications initiatives including event marketing, fundraising appeals, Reunion Weekend publications, alumni e-newsletters, social media, the Regis Today magazine, stewardship projects, and the alumni website. Alexis holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a master’s degree in communications from Regis College.
Director of Alumni Relations and Donor Engagement
Christina has been a member of the IA + Alumni Relations team since 2003, holding several positions throughout the years. As Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, Christina is responsible for overseeing all projects associated with alumni relations and events as well as the Regis Fund. She works closely with Reunion committees, class officers and volunteers, and the Alumni Board of Directors to engage and offer helpful resources for the alumni population.
Christina graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a bachelor’s degree in English and concentration in writing and communications in 1996.
Betty Ann Elliott '49
A Regis alumna, Betty Ann has been a part of the Regis community for many years, the last 30 of which she has spent as an employee. What began as a one-year stint to raise money for the athletics facility in 1979 turned into a long-term job. Betty Ann helps coordinate alumni events, keeps in touch with the alumni base, answers questions, and proofs class notes and other publications. Betty Ann has a bachelor’s degree in business from Regis College.
Director of Institutional Support
Shawna joined the IA + Alumni Relations team in 2012 with a goal to work with the Regis community to build relationships that increase opportunities for corporation, foundation, and government support aligned to the College’s priorities. She has over a decade of experience in proposal writing and grants management and has collaborated on winning awards from local, regional, and national funding sources.
Shawna brings experience in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 education, higher education, and the humanities to Regis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies from Stonehill College, a master’s degree in art history from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a master’s degree in non-profit management from Worcester State University.
Advancement Services Administrator
Teresa joined the IA + Alumni Relations team in 2008 as the Gift Coordinator, processing all gifts and matching gifts made to the College. She is currently working as an administrator in advancement services, researching and updating alumni records, managing all acknowledgement letters, and continuing to coordinate gift processing. Teresa holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College.
Senior Development Liaison
Marcia joined the IA + Alumni Relations team in 2012 after working in the president’s office for three years. Her position of Senior Development Liaison is designed to strengthen and build community, supporting directly the College’s strategic plan. Marcia’s duties include special projects, major fundraising events, and international outreach trips. In addition, Marcia is the scholarship contact, working with both donors who establish named scholarships and students who benefit from them. Marcia holds a bachelor’s degree from Dennison University and a master’s degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
Jayanthi Srinath, M.Sc, MS, MSM
Director of Advancement Services
Jayanthi has been with Regis since 2006 and serves as the database manager for IA + Alumni Relations, overseeing gift processing, stewardship, and research. She manages the donor prospect tracking system, generates reports, and develops proactive strategies to improve the integrity of data in the alumni database. She is also involved in maintaining the alumni website, designing electronic appeals, and managing office projects. She received her bachelor’s degree in India and received her master’s degree in computer science as well as Management from Bridgewater State University.
